Nick Moore, President

Mr. Moore is a financial and business leader with over twenty years of diversified experience in the real estate, technology and financial services industries. Mr. Moore is a certified CPA in Australia and has worked in Australia, the UK and the United States. He has worked for Lend Lease Corporation, Price Waterhouse management consulting, Arthur Andersen (real estate consulting) and Soros Private Funds Management. Most recently he has managed the successful growth of two software businesses in the United States, a leader in the IWMS space (now rated #1 in the IWMS sector by Gartner) and a global leader in real estate performance management.

At Andersen, Mr. Moore headed up the firm’s Real Estate Technology and e-Business practice and was on the Global Real Estate and Hospitality executive team. At Soros, Mr. Moore worked with both the Real Estate and Private Equity funds and associated portfolio companies, helping them execute on their strategic plans and build out the appropriate infrastructure for success.

Mr. Moore has considerable experience with refocusing technology businesses for success including creating and implementing operating infrastructures, creating effective marketing and PR campaigns, develop strategic and channel partnerships, and designing the right pre-sales and business development tools for success.

Mr. Moore graduated from the University of New South Wales (Australia) with a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting and Finance in 1990, and obtained his CPA in 1998. He is currently on the Board of Directors for Variety – The Children’s Charity NY.

He is a dual Australian and British citizen.

 

Julia Ofengeym, Chief Technology Office

Julia has over 14 years of experience designing, building, and managing web based enterprise applications and demonstrated success in architecting and delivering robust, flexible software solutions. Prior to joining Peracon, Julia served as VP of Software Engineering at Rivermine where she was leading software development at the company's NY branch. Prior to that, Julia was with MBG where she was key contributor in designing and building web based asset management and business intelligence applications portfolio used by Fortune 500 companies to manage their global IT/Telecom spend. Julia joined the company as junior software developer and advanced to VP Development during her tenure with the company, while building and delivering global software solutions.

 

Julia holds an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern and a B.S. in Computer Science from the New York Institute of Technology.

 

Apu Gupta, VP Operations and Marketing

Mr. Gupta’s background in both startups and established ventures encompasses strategic planning, operations management, and marketing. Mr. Gupta brings with him a demonstrated ability to launch products, scale businesses, lead teams and drive profits.

Most recently, Mr. Gupta advised a real estate private equity firm on operational improvements at their hospitality assets while providing due diligence and valuation analyses for potential transactions.

Prior, Mr. Gupta served as the COO & CMO of MedPlus Health Services, India's fastest growing retail pharmacy chain. During his tenure, Mr. Gupta was responsible for day-to-day operations and nationwide branding efforts of MedPlus as well as managing investor relations and reporting financial performance to the Board of Directors. Under Mr. Gupta's guidance, MedPlus raised a substantial amount of institutional capital, expanded from 100 locations to 650, and grew revenues ten-fold, making MedPlus India's second largest pharmacy chain.

Mr. Gupta has also served in product management and marketing roles in the tech sector. He was an early employee of WebEx Communications and was with the company through their IPO. He was also a founder of TaoSecure, an internet security appliance company. Mr. Gupta has also been a successful management consultant at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting and Galt & Company, serving clients in the financial services and technology sectors.

 

Jim Carr, Project Director

Jim Carr has been in the real estate and construction industry for over 15 years. During his time in the United States, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Financial Management from the University of Southern California in 1991. He then spent the next three years as a Property Adjustor for State Farm Insurance and subsequently as a Cost Accountant for Racal Instruments. In 1995 Mr. Carr proceeded to the University of Notre Dame adding to his educational portfolio an MBA in Finance and Management Information Systems winning a Research Associate Fellowship from the University's Finance Department.

From 1995 through 2001 Mr. Carr worked in the Engineering, Construction and Real Estate Practice for Ernst & Young LLP where he served as a Senior Manager and West Region Director. During this time, he provided management consulting for over 20 clients providing business intelligence, process improvement, merger/integration, asset management, technology and sustainability services primarily for real estate and construction clients.

In 2002, Mr. Carr moved on to KB Home where he served in several key roles including Vice President of Finance for both the New Mexico and Los Angeles-Ventura divisions, Vice President and Senior Regional Controller for half of the companies homebuilding assets, and Senior Vice President of Operations for the Los Angeles-Ventura division which built over 1,100 residential units and generated revenue in excess of $500 million in fiscal year 2006.

Mr. Carr has also served on several boards and task forces in the building industry. He was a Senior Officer for the Building Industry Association of Southern California (BIA/SC) and 1st Vice President of the Antelope Valley Chapter of the Building Industry Association (BIA/AV).
